Bracco and Music Print

Bracco has always supported important musical initiatives as part of a genuine institutional vocation that for years has linked the Group's name with high-profile events and sponsorships. These include Milan's "Serate Musicali" or musical evenings (supported by Bracco from 1986-1998), traditional events in the city's musical calendar at which the leading international concert artists have performed, publication of musical monographs, scholarships for young musicians, sponsorships for concerts and debut works, cooperation with the La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra as a supporter for the concerts in Washington and New York in 2007.

Bracco has been a Supporter Subscriber of Milan's Teatro alla Scala for more than ten years, taking part in initiatives including symphonic concerts, opera evenings and exhibitions, notably the 2001 exhibition on Giuseppe Verdi marking the centenary of the composer's death.

In the last three years Bracco has sponsored the first night performances of Verdi's "Rigoletto" (2006) and Puccini's "Madame Butterfly" (2007); in 2005 it sponsored Salieri's "L'Europa Riconosciuta" directed by Riccardo Muti, the opera chosen to mark the re-opening of Piermarini's newly restored auditorium, which in 2007 hosted Bracco's 80th anniversary festivities with a performance of Verdi's "La Traviata" conducted by Lorin Mazel and directed by Liliana Cavani.

Starting from current season 2008/2009 Bracco has become major sponsor of the Filarmonica della Scala after supporting the Orchestra's 2008 Asian tour to Japan, Korea and China as well as two remarkable concerts held in October 2007 in Washington and New York.
