The Colleretto Giacosa facility has obtained the certification for occupational health and safety management systems in accordance with the new regulation UNI ISO 45001:2018.
The transition from the previous BS OHSAS 18001 standard to the new one has been granted 2 years early in respect to the deadline established for organizations already holding an occupational health and safety management systems certification. Moreover, the planned transition to ISO 45001 is just in its beginning phase and, in the following months, will include first Bracco’s Torviscosa plant and then Ceriano.
This important achievement, which makes the Bracco Group one of the very first pharmaceutical companies to have secured it, is the result of a proactive approach that the company has always employed regarding matters of health, safety and sustainability.
The broad objective that the UNI ISO 45001 sets is to raise the level of company awareness and culture around workplace health and safety, with the aim of reducing the number of injuries and increasing the well-being of staff, issues that have always been among the Group’s top priorities.
