Fulvio Bracco was born in November 1909

Milan, Italy , 11/19/2012

To honor his memory, the Company launched several initiatives.

The story of Dr. Fulvio Bracco, his entrepreneurial vision and his way of interpreting life are presented in the book “Da Neresine a Milano. Memorie dell’imprenditore Fulvio Bracco” (“From Neresine to Milan. The Memoirs of Entrepreneur Fulvio Bracco”). This is the story of Fulvio Bracco, the man and entrepreneur who was ahead of his time and who, through his incredibly sharp intuition and courageous choices, always tenaciously pursued ambitious goals, thus laying the foundations for the global success of the Bracco Group.

The long and lively interview was conducted by Giovanna Martinoli, an esteemed journalist who collaborated with Fulvio Bracco and the company for many years with great dedication. The book’s pages are filled with reflections of a life enriched with spontaneity, energy and passion, and told through the viva voce of this great protagonist in Italian Chemistry. The story is not only about the man, but also about his family, his employees and friends who were a part of the intense life he led.

The volume, which has also been published in English, will be presented during the XI Business Culture Week of Confindustria (General Confederation of Italian Industry).
An art exhibit – put on by the Bracco Foundation – has been dedicated to Fulvio Bracco and his family. This collection of photographs is shown in Milan, in the final section of the exhibition of the works of Angiolo D’Andrea, an early 20th century painter, whose artistic works were “salvaged” by Elio Bracco, Fulvio’s father.
Through photos, documents and personal objects, people visiting the exhibit are able to witness the most significant moments of the entrepreneur’s dream, that the Bracco Family worked hard to make come true.

Fulvio Bracco’s vision included paying special attention to youth, trusting them and giving them space to grow. This legacy was later to become one of Diana Bracco’s core social commitments, as reflected in the numerous programs that have been initiated and that favor new generations in both Italy and abroad. It is thanks to this imprinting that the Company build a school in the Republic of Benin, Africa.

Today, the College – named after Fulvio Bracco - boasts an enrollment of over 700 students, who have been given the chance for a better future through accessibility to primary and secondary education. To further enhance programs offered by the school, and in compliance with the mission of the Group, the Company also sponsored the construction of new facilities comprising chemistry, physics and biology laboratories. The Colleretto Research Center and the Italian Diagnostic Center have donated equipment and instruments to be used in these laboratories, making them immediately available.

Bracco also decided to contribute to the setting up of a miniature IT laboratory, and has already donated several computers to this aim. The Company will also establish internet connection to facilitate communication with students and so that some of our experienced internal staff can be used to provide teachers with long distance training courses.

Le iniziative presentate hanno visto unite competenze, passioni e risorse diverse per interpretare lo spirito imprenditoriale e la visione che la Famiglia Bracco porta avanti con continuità da quattro generazioni.
