This initiative, launched in 2017 in partnership with ESOR, will continue this year with 95 new grants for the ongoing education of young radiologists.

Vienna, Austria, July 13th, 2022 - Bracco Imaging S.p.A., a worldwide leader in the imaging diagnostics field, announced today during the European Congress of Radiology (ECR), the renewal of the “Bracco Fellowships” initiative, in partnership with the European Society of Radiology (ESR), for the promotion of excellence among European radiologists.

This educational program is part of the Group’s efforts to sustain the imaging diagnostics community: started in 2017, today it is a key pillar of the company’s celebrations of Bracco’s 95th anniversary; a company that has worked tirelessly to promote excellence since 1927.

“When such an important milestone is achieved, the best way to celebrate it is to share. For Bracco, the best and most productive way to share is to invest in people and to support their talents and passions”, states Fulvio Renoldi Bracco, Bracco Imaging’s CEO. “Bracco Fellowships are the result of a long-lasting collaboration with ESOR, whom we thank for their outstanding effort in high- quality education for the radiology community. We shouldn’t forget that the future of diagnostics is in the hands of young talents who deserve all of our trust and support”.

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Bracco for their continued support of ESOR’s educational endeavours since its foundation in 2007. ESOR is proud to offer a bold educational programme including the Bracco fellowships which are devoted to the professional and scientific development of young radiologists. Together with Bracco we succeeded to develop these fellowships further and to continuously adapt them to the changing educational demands. During the past 15 years ESOR has become a gradual provider of medical education in radiology in Europe and beyond. The invaluable cooperation with Bracco has enabled ESOR to open the world of education for many people, giving opportunities to young radiologists,” emphasizes Prof. Vilgrain, ESOR Scientific/Educational Director”

The program will be managed by the European School of Radiology (ESOR). The fellowships, which will be granted between 2023 and 2025, will be used to support the education of young radiologists with a high leadership potential in leading hospitals and health institutions.

The fellowships will be allocated to 70 clinical, 20 research and 5 management grants.

“We truly hope that this initiative, for young radiologists, will be an important incentive to look towards the future with enthusiasm while sharing our core value: the well-being of people”, concludes Fulvio Renoldi Bracco.
