First Ukrainian family is welcomed in housing provided by Bracco near the Cesano plant

Cesano Maderno, Italy , 04/12/2022

Traveling from Odessa, they have left the war in Ukraine behind and have been welcomed in Italy by the Bracco Group in collaboration with the Town of Cesano (Lombardy) and the local community.

The Konts family consists of the mother, Valentina, her daughter and her daughter-in-law with five children ranging from around one to seven years old. They have found accommodation in the first of three small houses which Bracco RE is quickly renovating for the purpose, next to Imaging’s large production site.

To help them find some measure of calm following the awful days of bombing and escape in the refugee shelters, the apartment with a garden, has been brightened up with some toys for the children. In addition, Bracco has installed a WiFi connection to enable the Konts to keep in touch with their homeland. And finally, at least for the first few days, hot meals will be delivered from our company cafeteria.

The Cesano Maderno plant is the main Italian production site of the Group led by Diana Bracco. Contrast media and active ingredients used in magnetic resonance techniques are produced here for more than 80 countries. There are around 372 employees in this site, all proud of this initiative of the Company that in the coming days will welcome other families fleeing the war.

A virtuous model of positive osmosis between company, institutions and local communities.
