MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Bracco Diagnostics Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Bracco Imaging S.p.A., an innovative world leader in diagnostic imaging, announced today Applied Radiology’s 2023 “Leaders on the Horizon” Residency Program recipients. Sponsorship of this program is part of the Bracco commitment to develop and help advance the next generation of professionals in the world of diagnostic imaging.

The “Leaders on the Horizon” Residency Program champions the next generation of radiology leaders. The program offers radiology residents opportunities to be recognized for their outstanding clinical research while expanding their knowledge of the imaging industry. New this year, the program has expanded globally and now includes all diagnostic imaging modalities. Scholarships were bestowed upon six radiology resident applicants who submitted research papers (three clinical research papers and three clinical review articles).

“We’re proud to continue to support the ‘Leaders on the Horizon’ Residency Program,” said Cosimo De Pinto, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Bracco. “This year we are thrilled that the program has expanded globally and has opened the door for all imaging modalities. This sponsorship is a part of the Bracco Under 40 Program, which further emphasizes Bracco Imaging S.p.A.’s commitment to the future development of radiologists.”

The residents who authored the top three clinical research papers exploring imaging across all modalities were selected. There was also a clinical review category in which three review papers were chosen on their merits. The study papers will be published in a supplement to Applied Radiology, the leading physician-authored journal, in early 2023, and they will receive a scholarship to support their continued education in imaging. The scholarship resident recipients will be invited to attend the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2023 Annual Meeting for a special reception, hosted by Applied Radiology, honoring their research efforts and bright futures in the field of radiology.

The authors of the top three research papers will receive scholarship awards of $7,500, $5,000, and $3,000, respectively. The top three review article authors will receive scholarship awards of $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000, respectively. The funding for this program has been made possible through an unrestricted educational grant by Bracco Diagnostics Inc.
