Bracco leads the way in Japan at the Italian National Day at the Osaka Expo
An unforgettable performance
of the young dancers of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala
On the occasion of Italy National Day at Expo 2025 Osaka, Bracco Group – Gold Sponsor of the Italy Pavilion – brought the excellence of Italian dance to the international stage with the young dancers of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala, of which Fondazione Bracco is a founding member. Their unforgettable performance captivated the global audience with contemporary choreography set to music by Rossini and Nino Rota.
The event, held on September 12 at the "Shining Hat" Hall, welcomed distinguished guests including Princess Tomohito di Mikasa, Japanese Deputy Minister of Culture, Education, Sports, Science and Technology Ken Akamatsu, Italian Minister of Culture Alessandro Giuli, Italian Ambassador to Tokyo Gianluigi Benedetti, Commissioner General of the Italian Pavilion Mario Vattani, CEO and Vicechair of Bracco Imaging Fulvio Renoldi Bracco, Managing Director of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala Luisa Vinci.
On stage, around twenty students from the Ballet School led by Frédéric Olivieri performed "La strada (Suite)" by Mario Pistoni and "Rossini Cards" by Mauro Bigonzetti, showcasing remarkable technical skill and expressive depth.
"The universal nature of culture means it can serve as a bridge between different peoples, which is why we were so keen to encourage the talented young dancers from Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan to perform at a global event such as Expo," declared Diana Bracco, Chair and CEO of eponymous Group. "The enthusiastic response of the audience attests to the appeal of our country and a recognition of its excellence."
"In recent months, and during Expo Osaka 2025, we have strengthened our relationships with hospitals, universities, and institutions in Japan as we pursue our mission of fostering innovation, expanding access to care, and creating value for patients and communities." observed Fulvio Renoldi Bracco, Vicechair and CEO of Bracco Imaging.
